Terms of Use

By accessing or using CyberInsurance.com.sg (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Nature of the Site

CyberInsurance.com.sg is an independent comparison and educational platform for Singapore cyber-insurance products. We:

  • Publish editorial reviews and comparison information about cyber-insurance products offered by licensed Singapore insurers
  • Refer enquirers to licensed Singapore insurers and brokers for actual quotes, advice and policy issuance
  • Publish educational content on PDPA compliance, cyber risk, and data-breach response

We are not:

  • A Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) licensed Financial Adviser
  • A licensed insurance broker or agent
  • An insurer or underwriter
  • A licensed Financial Advice Provider (FAA-licensed entity)

2. Not financial advice

Nothing on this Site is financial, legal, tax or insurance advice. The content is general educational information about cyber-insurance products available in Singapore. Insurance is a complex, regulated product and the right policy for your circumstances depends on specifics we cannot assess from a web page. Before purchasing any policy, you should:

  • Read the actual policy wording in full
  • Obtain advice from a MAS-licensed financial adviser or insurance broker
  • Consider whether the product is suitable for your specific business or personal circumstances

3. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and up to date. Each editorial page shows a "Last reviewed" or "Last updated" date. Insurer products, coverage terms, pricing structures and regulatory rules change frequently. To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we make no warranty (express or implied) as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any information on the Site.

For binding, current information about a specific product, refer to the insurer's own published product page or to your appointed broker. We link directly to insurer product pages from each review.

4. Third-party links

The Site links to third-party websites (insurers, regulators, broker partners). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or any consequences of your use of them. A link does not imply endorsement of every aspect of the linked site.

5. Quote-form submissions

When you submit the quote form at /quotes/, you authorise the Operator to forward your enquiry to up to 8 licensed Singapore cyber-insurance providers and our MAS-licensed broker partners for the purpose of providing quotes. See our Privacy Policy for full data-handling terms.

You make no commitment to purchase any policy by submitting the quote form. Quotes are non-binding indications until you receive a formal proposal from an insurer and accept its terms in writing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site or its quote form to submit false, misleading or impersonating information
  • Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to collect data from the Site at a rate that adversely affects performance, except for compliant search-engine and AI-assistant crawlers respecting robots.txt, llms.txt, and rate limits
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract proprietary code or content
  • Use the Site to violate Singapore law, including PDPA, the Computer Misuse Act, or the Cybersecurity Act

7. Intellectual property

Editorial content (text, layout, code) on the Site is © Pangaea Capital. Insurer product names, trade marks and logos belong to their respective owners and are used here for descriptive comparison and review purposes under fair-dealing principles.

Where the Site publishes structured machine-readable data (e.g. via the planned /api/* endpoints), that data is released under CC BY 4.0. Attribution required: "Source: CyberInsurance.com.sg" with a link to the relevant URL.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, the Operator is not liable for any loss (direct, indirect, consequential, financial, reputational) arising from:

  • Your reliance on Site content for an insurance purchasing decision
  • Errors, omissions or out-of-date information on the Site
  • The acts or omissions of any insurer or broker we refer you to
  • Any unavailability, downtime or technical failure of the Site

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Site is limited to SGD 100.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be communicated via a banner on the Site for at least 30 days. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved by the Singapore courts. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
